On My Way to Healthy Skin!

Hi guys! I just wanted to quickly talk about my journey to achieve healthy skin! I am a 22 year old female that has just recently become interested in my skin and how to really make sure I use the best products possible for my skin. In my high school years, I had never really cared about my skin or any interest in how I should really take care of it. I was just always so busy and didn’t really care. In college, things became more stressful for me, which did not mean good news for my skin.

I began to get more pimples and my skin just didn’t look good. I was never really taught how to take care of my face properly or what products to use. It wasn’t until recently that I began to discover the right products to use and the proper foods I should be eating and drinking to keep myself looking healthy and feeling healthy as well.

Now I find it interesting researching products and proper ways to take care of my skin and body. When talking about products, I now try to find products that are oil-free such as cleansers and types of make-up. Years ago, I wouldn’t care about the type of cleanser or make up products I would be putting all over my face. If they were cheap or on sale I would buy them!

Now, I pay a little more for certain products but I know in the long run they will be better for my skin. Years back, I would just apply layers of the liquid foundation to my face and not really care because my face looked “decent”. Nowadays, I apply a primer, and a light mineral based foundation. I can really tell a difference switching from a liquid foundation to a light mineral type of powder. My skin can just breathe easier throughout the day.

When discussing foods and liquids, I definitely force myself to drink a lot more water than I did before. One year ago, I would be just drinking soda, coffee, and maybe two glasses of water throughout the day. Currently, I carry around a big water bottle and make sure I always have it filled with water. I make sure I meet that minimum 8 glasses of water per day. I also am switching over my eating habits from junk food to healthier alternatives. I make myself eat vegetables, protein, and the right amount of carbs with every meal. By eating healthy, I can tell an extremely big difference in my skin and overall health. It takes a lot of time and effort to adjust to a different routine but it will make a huge difference later on. Make the switch!
