Turmeric, gram flour and milk/lemon juice- I have a very diverse family and a cousin of mines who is Indian told me to try this natural remedy. I used this home remedy for the whole summer of 2013 and I must say it did work. The mixture did leave my skin with a slight yellow cast over it but it actually complimented my brown skin tone and it helped even out my hyperpigmentation, it also left my skin very soft and supple. It wasn’t a major transformation but it did work, so I give it a thumbs up!
Pure Aloe Vera- Aloe Vera is a plant that has a jelly-like substance in it and it’s good for cleansing and detoxifying the body. My mother actually gave me this home remedy; she blended the Aloe Vera jelly in the blender and gave it to me to drink. The Aloes were very bitter, I drank it once a week for a month and it did help with my acne, it brought down the inflammation in my pimples and they were left red and painful. It also helped me digest better! So if it doesn’t work well for acne it does help the digestive system!
Honey, Nutmeg and Lemon juice-I used this home remedy all of the 2013 winter and it didn’t do much but moisturize my skin and taste good! I definitely wasn’t upset because I used ingredients right out of kitchen and I didn’t even have to use a moisturizer after this treatment.
Baking soda and Lemon juice- Baking soda is a known lightening agent and so is Lemon juice, but when you put these two together they make a scary chemical reaction that would make you not want to put it on your face. At least that’s how I felt when I first attempted to make the remedy but after it the fizz and everything dies down you have this bubbly liquid that looks like yellowish seltzer water to put on your face. I applied my mixture with a cotton ball but you can use anything of your choice. It burns at first but then it stops I think this is because of the acidity level of the content however I didn’t notice a difference in my scars, some people did notice a difference but once again we all are different with different skin types.
Some Helpful tips: You don’t always have to go by measurements use as much as you want if you feel like that’s what you need for your face!
