Being positive is a large part of having healthy skin. Although you cannot always control your emotions, if you try to look on the bright side of things, your life, as well as your skin, will benefit immensely. Stress is a big promoter of acne, but if you look at the glass half full, there will be less stress in your life, therefore eliminating the stress causing acne that usually occurs. If you take a few moments out of your day to appreciate life and list all of the good things that have happened to you, then you are bound to be happier. Your spirit will benefit from this as well. If you become happier and more appreciative, you will no longer care as much of what people think of you. You will be a promoter of self-love, and you will not have stress as a causer of acne anymore.
I have had a few tough times in my life, and my skin being bad during those times did not help me at all. If I would have tried to look on the good side of things then I would have probably not has as hard of a time. I want to be happy all of the time, and I know that happiness is not always reachable at all times. But a quote from Harry Potter has helped me, “Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” This quote has helped me be happy on the inside, which in return has helped my skin. I have tried my best to be happy, and being happy seems not so far away anymore.
Happiness cannot always be helped; everyone gets sad. But if you just expand your mind to the suffering of the rest of the world and what you can do to better the earth, then you will no longer be focused on yourself. Your acne will not bother you as much because you will realize that there are larger problems in the world. Although I sometimes think that if I only had self-confidence I could put my time into other important things, that doesn’t have to be always true. If you use your inner beauty to better the world, then the inner beauty that is inside of you will radiate out into the world, making you and all of the people around you happier.
Happiness is a state of mind, and although you cannot control your situations, you can control how you react to them and your attitude towards them. Inner beauty is a lot more important than outer looks. Although sometimes you might feel self-conscious about your outer appearance, we need to learn to better our insides, better the world, and better our souls. This is the key to happiness. Self-love is the key to happiness. We don’t always have to work on our outsides. Although we do want to have a healthy outer appearance, working on our souls should be our main focus in life.
