Essential Oils for Common Skin Ailments

Putting oil on your skin may sound off-putting. However, these essential oils are non-comedogenic and will not clog your pores! 

Hydration: Many acne medications can dry out your skin. Keep your skin hydrated with natural Coconut or Jojoba Oils. Coconut Oil contains healthy fatty acids that improve the lipid content of the skin, thus, administering more moisture! Jojoba Oil maintains moisture all day, unlike most water-based moisturizers. It also helps stabilize the natural oil production of the skin! 

Reduce Inflammation: Grapeseed Oil has amazing anti-inflammatory benefits. Grapeseed Oil contains linoleic acid which soothes and nourishes the skin. Lavender Essential Oil is also great for reducing inflammation. It inhibits bacteria from infecting the pores and regulates the over-excretion of sebum. Plus, it smells amazing!

Fade Scars: Acne can cause deep scars that are very difficult to clear. Aloe vera oil and Carrot seed essential oil both have properties that can fade scars. Aloe vera oil is an anti-irritant, so it soothes the skin, while stimulating new healthy skin growth. Carrot seed oil rejuvenates the skin, while fading scars and improving overall tone. 

Control Breakouts: Control your breakouts with Tea Tree and Rosemary Oils. Tea Tree Oil works great as a spot treatment. It dries out the infected pore without any harsh chemicals. Rosemary Oil has antimicrobial and antiseptic qualities, as well. It can help reduce dermatitis, oily skin, and acne!
