At this point in my life I had got rid of acne and now I was left with acne scars and trust me even the scars were a nightmare ! I used to think that I just wan to get rid of acne and the scars would be not that bad to deal with but I had no idea that my life had this scar story planned for me too. Surprise ! surprise! The cosmetologist that I was seeing charged me around $120 for each visit and that too just for counseling services.

I was so upset about this after my third visit. I knew I was not going to be able to go a long way with this . I was suggested a number of acne scar treatments such as the fractional resurfacing CO2 laser which worked by creating microscopic wounds in the targeted area well beneath the outer layer of the skin. Other treatments included the resurfacing Erbium yag laser, fractional radiofrequency needling, rehydrating fillers and intense pulsed light .

All these treatments sounded really fancy but on the other hand they were very expensive. So once again I relied upon home remedies. I started exfoliating my skin with different products especially kitchen products such as rice flour, baking soda and sugar. My skin felt pretty soft after doing so but it did nothing to the scars.

I then tried Neutrogena Microdermabrasion system. I heard it was a good treatment for acne scars and I have been using it for some time now. Its been effective in taking away the blemishes but it has not been affective for the scars and once again I got to know that this was to be treated by something that could vibrate my skin from deep down and give rise to new skin cells! So here I am looking forward to using the derma roller for the first time ☺
