Recently, I have gained 20 pounds because of my medication. Losing the 20 pounds has been difficult, but not impossible.
I try to go to the gym every weekday and rest on the weekends. I even bought a weighted hula hoop in the hopes of losing my belly fat. As a side note, belly fat is the hardest fat to lose. I spend time doing cardio and weights but I am seriously considering hiring a personal trainer to help me shed these pounds. I typically exercise for 30 minutes but perhaps I should increase it to an hour.I feel as though I am losing weight in my thighs but with that comes stretch marks, many purple stretch marks. Hopefully, self-tanner and some scarring cream will help them go away but for the meantime, all I'm focusing on is losing weight.
Sadly, some of my friends have also acknowledged me gaining weight. My sister said I was unrecognizable and my face has become rather round and another friend told me that I have gotten fat. Not only is exercising very important for not only losing weight but it is also vital in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I also look out for my diet but since I'm a broke ass college kid, I don't always have the luxury of buying fruits and vegetables and always making home-cooked meals. My "home-cooked" meals mainly consist of sandwiches, eggs, and ramen with the rare appearance of a fruit or veggie. I hear that diet makes up 80% of your physique so it can be quite essential to have a healthy and balanced diet in order to lose weight. I’ll probably have to start incorporating more fruit and veggies and nuts into my diet, along with drinking tea, I also have to worry about sleep and stress. If you don't get enough sleep, the cortisol can build up and lead to more visceral or belly fat. The same thing happens when you are stressed out with high levels of cortisol. Hello, food baby. Typically, I get 8 hours of sleep and most of the time I’m not stressed out because my course load isn’t that large and I always have a lot of free to time to watch Netflix and chill. Slowly but surely I am working off the pounds and hopefully, at least by the end of the year, I should be back to normal.
