I have very oily skin and I used to have cystic acne. This routine, however, this did not get rid of my cystic acne. Seeing a Dermatologist and getting prescribed Doxycylcine for three months is what got rid of my cysts, but this routine helped reduce it at the time and now reduces my other types of acne.It took a while of mix matching products and testing new ones, but these are which group of products works best for me. Here's some of my acne skincare routine that I hope can help you too!
In the morning, I wash my face with Avene Cold Cream Ultra-Rich Cleansing Bar. It is the gentlest cleanser I have used. This cold cream bar is also very hydrating. Then, I use the Banish Vitamin C Elixir, this toner really controls my oil production. Literally, when I forget to use this in the morning I get really greasy by the afternoon. After, I use the Banish Pore Smasher. This device imitates an ice facial in an easy, mess-free way, and it reduces the size of my pores, which means smaller pimples.
If it is a mask day, I will either use the Pure Body Naturals Dead Sea Mud Mask or the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Deep Pore Cleansing with the Banish Activated Charcoal Masque. The Pure Body Naturals Dead Sea Mud Mask is the only mask I have used that continues to work very well for the next two to three days afterward.
The Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Deep Pore Cleansing is the strongest Clay mask I have ever used; I can distinctly count my heartbeats when I use it. I like to add the Banish Activated Clay Masque to it to get the added absorption. I tend to exfoliate twice a week and use absorbing masks twice a week as well. Usually, I use the absorbing masks on the second day after I exfoliate.
At night, I use the Banish Starter Cleanser because its gentle and hydrating as well. Afterward, I use the Banish Vitamin C Elixir again. After toning my skin, I apply the Banish Banish Oil (previously known as the Vitamin C Serum).
Over time, this has honestly evened out my skin and reduced hyperpigmentation. I moisturize with either an oil concoction I make myself (made with equal parts Tea Tree Oil, Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, and Aloe Vera Oil) or I use the Banish Vitamin C Crème (which is unfortunately not offered anymore).
