This is one of my favourite topics, whenever one of my friends or family members walks into my room or comes to my house and sees me with some weird looking contraption on my face with a look of horror on theirs I can’t help but smile, although some of them are hard to do so while on your face. I’m going to discuss some of my favourite natural face masks and how I personally use them.

Honey and cinnamon. This is my go to face mask when I have those tempting days where I slip up and eat something too sugary or eat too much dairy for the week and I know I messed up.. I slap this baby on my face to help combat those pimples I know are on their way, not to mention it has that tingly feeling that everyone loves so much. I use this honey with 2 tsp of honey and one tsp of cinnamon and mix it together in a bowl and spread it onto my problem areas or areas where i have the most scars. It leaves your skin feeling smooth and fresh and an added bonus, it helps to fade acne scars.

Honey and turmeric. Turmeric is one of my favourite natural ingredients for the face because it has been used for many many years in india and china for helping to cure many diseases. Turmeric as well as honey both have antibacterial properties making them great candidates for combating acne. Not only this, but turmeric is also GREAT for healing acne scars and hyperpigmentation as well as having anti aging properties.

Egg white face mask. Now the first time I read online about someone telling me to slab an egg white on my face I was a bit skeptical.. But after the first time I tried it I couldn’t get enough. I wanted to run to the grocery stores and buy a whole cart full of eggs. Not only does it help with acne/scars, it also moisturizes and brings that hydration back into your skin. For this face mask I generally just separate the yolk from the egg whites and beat the whites together until they are frothy white, I then squeeze in some lemon juice and apply it to my face. I wait for it to dry and then I wash it off. For an added bonus you can stick some toilet paper on your face on top and wait for it to dry then work as though it's a peel and peel it off your face to help clear out pores and remove black heads :).
