I’m one person among the millions of teenagers in the world who suffered from acne. When I was still in high school, my acne was like small bumps, which I found out are called blackheads. It only grew on my cheeks or in my nose area, or sometimes on my forehead, but I didn’t really care about it at all. I used to think that they’d be gone tomorrow. As a student, I barely even drank or ate healthy foods and drinks. I swallowed everything that I saw in front of me. As long as I was full, I didn’t care if the food was bad for my body or my face. Yes, the acne was gone in 2 or 3 days, but the scars stay forever. I remember my mother told me to use egg whites as a mask. I was like, “My face is not a frying pan, duh…” and then my mom said, “It’s worth a try.”
Then, a few days later, when I was about to eat my dinner, I found an egg in my refrigerator. I was in such a desperate position as my acne scars made me really worried. I couldn’t even go out without any make-up on my face, even if it’s just baby powder. I just wanted to make my scars less visible, so no more bare face for me.
I could truly feel the intensity of desperately wanting to get rid of my acne scars, so instead of eating it, I used the egg whites as a mask. I could feel the results within 20 minutes of using it – my face was so smooth. Although my face was a little bit dry, I was so happy that the blackheads were gone. Upon seeing the great results, I used the mask regularly. About twice a week is okay. Since it kind of makes your skin dry, using it frequently will make your skin exhausted.
In just a month, I could see my scars had gradually faded. I was so happy when my friends said that my face had brightened and asked me for tips. I told them about it – the egg whites are effective for scars, but even more effective if you mix it with lime, especially if you have active acne.
This is how I made the egg white mask for acne scars:
If you want to make an egg white mask and you have active acne and acne scars, just mix the egg whites with lime. You’ll feel itchy, but that’s okay! Relax for 10 to 15 minutes and then wash your face with lukewarm water. Good luck!
