The Benefits of Green Tea

Who in the world doesn't know what tea is? Generally, people know tea as a drink they have in the morning or as something to drink in case there's no coffee. But do you know that green tea has benefits – either as something to detox your body or as a scrub?

I drink green tea every morning because I had read that it’s great if you want to clean out your stomach. Within 2 weeks, I could feel that my stomach got rather smaller and my digestion was much better than before.

Then my knowledge got wider when I knew that one can also use green tea as a scrub. I felt amazed every time I discovered how many benefits green tea actually has.

And then the next day, I tried to use green tea as a scrub. First things first – brew the green tea in warm water for about a minute or two. After that, tear open the tea bag and place the contents in a small bowl, and then get 2 spoons of honey and mix it together. Finally, you can use it as a scrub – just apply it gently to your face and wait for 5 minutes and rinse it away with lukewarm water!

After that, wash your face, and voila! Your face becomes smoother than before!

Don't throw away the steeping water; you can just drink it to detox your body or just wash your face with it. The water is good for healing acne scars and redness.

One of the other benefits of green tea is for making a mask. One DIY mask that I've made is oatmeal and honey with green tea. It sounds delicious for breakfast, but it’s also delicious for your face!

Firstly, of course, you need to brew the green tea in warm water for about 1 or 2 minutes. For the oatmeal, you can use Quaker Oats or grounded oats. Put the oats in a small bowl, grab 2 spoons of honey, and add the green tea steeping water in it. Mix them together until it feels sticky when you touch it.

Apply it to your face gently and wait for about 10 or 15 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water. You’ll see the results – your face will feel smoother and the redness will fade away.

Use both the scrub and the mask once or twice a week. Don't use them too frequently, or else your skin will be over-exfoliated!
