Acne is a big trouble to a lot of people, so let’s break it down. What is acne? What causes acne? And how do you get rid of it? Acne occurs when your pores get filled with dead skin cells and oil, which results in things like whiteheads, blackheads, and/or acne.

Acne can occur at any age but most commonly occurs in teenagers and young adults. Some may say that the cause of acne is hormonal, which is why it is usually seen on teenagers. But other reasons known to trigger acne are eating habits and not properly treating your skin. What you eat can be shown through your skin. Eating really oily foods like pizza or really sweet things like cake or candy can be bad for your skin.

Eating healthy is a part of a good skin regime because healthy eating will result in healthy skin. To properly treat your skin, you must have the right products for your skin type and things such as masque’s and exfoliates and a great moisturizer. By finding what products are good for your skin, you must first find out what type of skin you have. Be sure to stick to the same products and skin routine so that your skin can get used to the products.

There are many different treatments you could try, some of which you could do yourself at home and others where you have to pay a bit of money. Some of the more common treatments are usually spa treatments where they either give you face masques that are really good for your skin or they do special masque’s the ones you can’t really do at home like the vampire masque, where they use your blood and put it on your face, I don’t recommend doing this one at home. Haha!

People also do chemical burning which takes away the top layer of the skin, normally where the acne is and once that is done it reveals a new layer of clear skin. It usually takes more than one treatment if someone’s acne is very bad.

Pills are sometimes used when treatments don’t work too well, people resort to pills that are usually prescribed by their dermatologist or doctor. Sometimes when the acne isn’t that bad and you just have a few blemishes here and there, you could use a spot treatment to get rid of any pimples, that way you can maintain clear and beautiful skin.

There are many ways to treat, stop and prevent acne. Different things work for different people, so see what’s best for you.
