4 DIY Acne Face Masks

Acne face masks can be really expensive, but now you can make your own using ingredients from your own kitchen! Before you apply any of these masks, make sure to rinse your face with water first and PAT dry with a towel after.

1. Cinnabon Mask

I call this the Cinnabon Mask because all the ingredients you need are: honey and cinnamon. Plus it smells good and sweet, just like a Cinnabon! Add 2 tbs. of honey and 1 tbs. of cinnamon into a bowl. Mix well. With a Q-tip, apply a thin layer onto your face. Leave it on for 10-15 min., then rinse. You can use this mask 1-2 times a week, depending on how sensitive your skin is.

2. Kendall Mask

I actually read about this specific mask that Kendall Jenner herself used to get rid of her acne, which is why I call this the Kendall Mask. All you need is honey, lemon juice, and baking soda. Add 1 tbs. of honey, ½ a tbs. of lemon juice and ½ a tbs. of baking soda to a bowl. Mix thoroughly. Leave for 10 min, then rinse.

3. Lemon Scrub Mask

This is an exfoliator and a mask in one! My mother told me about it, it was something that she used back in the day when there were not so many accessible acne products. You will need a lemon, sugar, and honey. Cut the lemon in half, you will only be using half of a lemon for this. Squeeze the lemon so there is some just on the surface to mix with the other ingredients. With a spoon, add a minimal amount of honey to the surface of the lemon, and then add a pinch of sugar. Scrub gently onto problematic areas for no more than 1 minute. Leave it on for 5-10 min, then rinse.

4. Aloe Mask

My dad actually recommended me to use aloe vera for my face when he bought an aloe vera plant one day. For this mask, I highly recommend that you used aloe vera straight from the plant itself, but you can also use aloe vera gel. All you need is aloe vera, apply it to the problematic areas and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.

I usually use one of these masks, depending on the ingredients that I have available when I get really bad breakouts. I recommend that you use any of these masks 1-2 times a week depending on your skin type.
