Exercising for your Skin

By: Sarah

During changes in your life, such as puberty, hormones can make your skin produce acne and breakouts. If you’re overweight it can result in early hormonal changes. This can cause more noticeable acne. When you exercise, it can help to regulate your hormones through weight management. By doing this, hormonal changes such as acne can be reduced. Also when you exercise, it can reduce your stress level, which could be causing your acne. However, exercising is not an overall solution. You still have to do things like wash your face and keep your diet right to make sure that you do not have acne. Also when you are working out, you should take the proper precautions to make sure that your skin is staying healthy.

While you are working out, you have to take your hygiene into consideration as much as possible. If you go to a gym, you should use wipes to sanitize the machine before you use it. Also, you should always use a towel to wipe off the sweat from your face rather than your hands. Using your hands could make the bacteria spread around which can cause acne. Whenever you workout, you should wear the proper exercising clothing. Wearing something that is made of natural fabrics will provide more circulation. When you are finished with your workout you should always shower and clean your face. This will provide you being clean and get off all of the sweat.

Exercising the right way can help to balance your hormones and cause your skin to not breakout. If you make sure that you are working out the right way, you can relieve stress which will lessen your acne amounts.

I go to the gym every day. Before I do anything, I go and get a towel that they provide. If your gym does not provide a towel I would bring one. You are going to be prone to sweating when you are working out so you should have a towel to wipe off your sweat. Then when I go to all of the matches I use an antibacterial wipe to make sure that I don’t get someone else’s sweat all over me, which would end up getting on my skin. When I get done I rub off my skin with the towel and rinse it with cold water until I get home. When I get home, I get straight into the shower. I make it cold in order for my body temperature to get back to normal. My skin is healthy after working out and I released stress hormones while working out. So overall, acne is being prevented while exercising.
