Product 1: Neutrogena Rapid Clear Grapefruit Scrub

When I first broke out with acne, this is the first face scrub/wash that I went to. It really does work but it takes time. I noticed a difference in about 2-3 weeks.  I did not suffer with painful cystic acne. I just suffered with small patches of general acne. This product is a go-to if you do not have cystic acne.

Product 2: Acnefree Soap Bar

At this point my acne was more severe. Gentle products were no longer working as well. I went to my local beauty store, and I really just wanted a product that would work. I purchased the acnefree bar. I took it out of the box. Inside the bar, there was little exfoliating orange beads. I used the bar as directed. The first time I used it, I notice that my face was actually starting to breakout even more. I didn’t suspect much out of it. I thought that maybe that was just “how the product worked”. So I used it again as directed. This time my face got a really itchy feeling and there was more red bumps on my face. I just moisturized and went to bed. I woke up and my face just felt VERY dry and my skin isn’t naturally dry. No matter how much moisturizer I used, my face was just dry. I stopped using the bar and the dryness went away after 1-2 weeks. It wasn’t painful dryness, it was just a weird (not smooth) texture. I don’t think I would purchase this product again. Overall, it did not help my situation.

Product 3: Neutrogena rapid clear spot gel

I was now suffering from just pimples here and there. They were pretty defined, so I was seeking a spot gel. I went to the drugstore and I was look around. They had the Neutrogena spot gel and it was in a TINY bottle for $12. I did not think that was reasonable. But I was considering because if you only need a little bit, I was assuming that it is powerful. So I bought it, and gave it a chance. I applied it and it did reduce the size. So I would most likely purchase this again. The only downfall is that if you apply TOO much product you may be left with irritated red patches. It is a strong product as it is made with salicylic acid.
