In today's world, everything happens a lot faster than it did a few decades ago. We communicate via instant texts, find information in seconds with the internet, and buy thing whenever we want with money we don’t even have thanks to credit cards. Sadly, we have come to expect our bodies to respond to any treatments with such fastness, but that is not how it works. Our skin will eventually change accordingly to the changes that we subject our body to, but it will take time and consistency to see results. Here, I am presenting you 3 habits as a clear skin solution that will inevitably improve your skin in the long term if you keep them up.
1. Drink lots of water
The recommended amount of water intake per day is from 1.5 to 2 liters. So, for your whole body’s health, this is how much you should be drinking. However, if we take into account that skin is mostly made up of water, we can infer that water intake must be pretty important to keep our skin’s health too. Many people report that their skin looks more plumped up, glowing, and more uniform after drinking at least 1.5L of water for 30 days.
2. Sleep the hours your body demands
Did you ever notice that your skin looks way better in the morning than at night? Adults need anywhere from 7 to 9 hours of sleep at night to be fully rested. Whenever I sleep a full night, I wake up with smooth skin and even my indented scars look way less deep! While we sleep, our skin uses this time to repair itself without having to protect itself from all the damages that occur to it during the day. In fact, most cell regeneration occurs during REM sleep. Therefore, sleeping time is essential for beautiful youthful skin. Keep in mind that not everyone needs the same amount of sleep and try to find your perfect number!
3. Eat carotenoid containing food
We all like to have a nice tan on our body. It makes imperfections look less obvious, skin looks more toned and gives us a healthy glow. However, tan isn’t very healthy. Too much sun can give you wrinkles and increase your risk of having skin cancer. So, to achieve glowing skin that really is healthy we need to eat food that contains carotenoids. These foods (carrots, mangoes, spinach, tomatoes, etc) give your skin a nice natural tan that doesn’t harm your skin. In fact, in a study where people were shown a photograph of a person with a sun tan and the same person with a carotenoid tan, the latter was found to be most appealing! So, start stocking your fridge with lots of colorful fruits and veggies in order to get a harmless beautiful tan.
Simply follow these simple habits as a clear skin solution and I am pretty sure that your skin condition will definitely improve.
